My husband, Jim, now has his first appointment scheduled
with the surgeon. The surgeon will discuss the options available, decide on a
plan, and set the date for Jim’s lung removal. My new word of the day is pneumonectomy.
Pneumonectomy is the surgical removal of all or part of a lung.
